Abu Dhabi Stamps and Postal History

Stamp SetA major error in the form of an “Extra Bar” is found on the 1 Dinar on 10 Rupees overprint. Its status as a major error is confirmed as it only appears on the 1 Dinar stamp. The reason for this is that the “Extra Bar” is that a consequence of a piece of the printer’s spacing bar which worked up above the “D” in “Dinar”. The piece took the ink constantly in Row 7/3 and formed the “Extra Bar” which is typically 1 ˝ - 2 mm in length.

A maximum of 60 copies exists and as per Neil Donaldson at least 4 of them are used.
