Stamp SetOn the occasion of the first anniversary of the opening of the post office in Abu Dhabi, the first stamps of Abu Dhabi were issued. The definitive set of 11 stamps had values ranging from 5 Naye Paise to 10 Rupees. The stamps bore the portrait of the then ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Shakhbut bin Sultan al-Nahyan along with a variety of designs 3 of which depict the gazelle from which the Emirate takes its name Abu Dhabi Father of the Gazelle.

A small number, possibly from a single sheet, of these stamps exist perforated 13x13.5.
They are from the reprint used for the 1966 overprint.
This variety is much scarcer than the 20f on 20 np perforated 14.5.
