[SUPERSIZE IMAGE]
Stamp SetOn the 3rd of May 1971 Abu Dhabi issued a set of 2 stamps commemorating the late President of Egypt - Gamal Abdel Nasser who died on the 28th of September 1970. The values issued were: 25 Fils and 35 Fils.

Though many Arab nations issued their own stamps commemorating President Nasser the Abu Dhabi issue is the only one to come out prior to the first anniversary of President Nassers death. Egypt did issue two stamps as well but they were only valid for civilian use on letters to members of the Armed Forces. The Egyptian issue came out on the 1st of May 1971.
